Mobile App for Careers and Job Fairs

21st November 2011

Although mobile apps for events have been targeted towards traditional conferences and exhibitions, e-mango also can see how it can work for universities holding their own job fairs and milkrounds.

This is an ideal opportunity for University Careers Services to really tap into technology and the expectations of students and in so doing bring them altogether with the mutual benefit to exhibitors and students.

Prior to the jobsfair, the App can be made available in plenty of time and confirmed exhibitors can be listed along with an overview of what they do and their career opportunities. Associated PDF documents can be upload for company backgrounds, case studies, job vacancies and even application forms. Students can easily browse the list of exhibitors and bookmark any of interest that they want to meet on the day. During the event, they can quickly see who they plan to meet, marked them off as ‘visited’ and even write notes after the meeting, which is all done from the same single mobile app.

The e-mango service is backed by a web administration portal so adding new exhibitors and other amendments can be readily done. Alerts can be sent out to the Apps, keeping users up to date with the latest news and information.

For any Careers Service, this solution will add greater value to why exhibitors should be at your event and what they get out of it.
Please call us for further information on how a mobile app could be used as part of your Careers Fair.
